The Sacramento Ranger District at the Lincoln National Forest in New Mexico is the first Forest Service office in the Southwestern Region to receive Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. The building was designed and built for high performance in the five LEED areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality.
