The Value Analysis Team used the
Value Analysis Process to evaluate the Allison Guard Station project. The
six phases
of
this analysis included:
- Investigation: Gathering information, finding out what the project
was about.
- (November 5-6, 2001 field trip)
- Analysis: Looking for the components
that have the highest potential for significant improvement or cost
reduction or both.
- Speculation: Brainstorming alternative ways to meet
the primary function(s).
- Evaluation: Identifying the best alternatives.
(CBA)
- Development: Describe the best alternatives.
- Presentation: Presenting
findings and recommendations to the Home Team.
