The National Strategy – The Final Phase in the Development of the National Cohesive Wildland Fire Management Strategy
Congressional request: Relating to a Congressional Directive in House Report 112-589, Wildland Fire Management, Timely Delivery of Critical Reports. Congress strongly encourage the Forest Service to release the third and final phase of the cohesive wildland fire strategy, as required by the FLAME Act, that includes critical components of that strategy such as considering potential approaches for addressing the growing wildfire threat, estimating the costs of each approach, and identifying trade-offs—within 180 days of enactment of this Act.

Status of Balances of Appropriation
Congressional request: Relating to a Congressional Directive in H. R. 2055, Public Law 112-74, Status of Balances of Appropriation, SEC. 424. The Department of the Interior, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Forest Service, and the Indian Health Service shall provide the Committees on Appropriations of the House of Representatives and Senate quarterly reports on the status of balances of appropriations including all uncommitted, committed, and unobligated funds in each program and activity.

Congressional request: Relating to a Congressional Directive in Conference Report 112-331, Quarterly Reports. All re-programmings between budget activities, budget line-items, program areas, or the more detailed activity levels shown in the Statement of the Managers, including those below the monetary thresholds established above, shall be reported to the Committees within 60 days of the end of each quarter and shall include cumulative totals for each budget activity, budget line item, or construction, land acquisition, or forest legacy.

September Federal Land Assistance, Management and Enhancement (FLAME) Act Expenditures for Interior and Agriculture Agencies
Congressional request: Relating to a Congressional Directive in House Report 111-316. Congress requests the Forest Service to provide an estimate of anticipated wildfire suppression costs to improve budgeting and funding during the first weeks of March, May and July of each year, as well as during the first weeks of September of each year where appropriations for the Department of the Interior and the Forest Service have not been passed for the coming fiscal year by September 1.

Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration (CFLR)
Congressional request: Relating to a Congressional Directive in the Forest Landscape Restoration Act (Public Law 113–16). The Secretary of Agriculture is directed to submit a report to the Committees on Appropriations within 60 days of enactment of this Act on the implementation of the collaborative forest landscape restoration funded projects and the outcomes of those projects to date and publicly post this information.

Timber Sales Pipeline Restoration Report
Congressional request: Relating to a Congressional Directive in Public Law 104-134, Title III - General Provisions, Section 327 of Timber Sales Pipeline Restoration Funds. The Secretary concerned shall report annually to the Committees on Appropriations of the United States Senate and the House of Representatives on expenditures made from the Fund of timber sales and recreation projects, revenues received into the Fund from timber sales, timber sale preparation and recreation project work undertaken during the previous year and projected for the next year under the Fund. Such information shall be provided for each Forest Service region and Bureau of Land Management State office.

FLAME Activity for Fiscal Year 2011
Congressional request: Relating to a Congressional Directive in Public Law 111-88, Title V – FLAME Act of 2009, Section 502 – FLAME Wildfire Suppression Reserve Funds, Annual Report – The Secretary concerned shall submit to the relevant congressional committees and make available to the public an annual report that describes the obligation and expenditure of amounts transferred from the FLAME Fund; and includes any recommendations that the Secretary concerned may have to improve the administrative control and oversight of the FLAME Fund.

Nationwide Assessment of Night Flying Operations
Congressional request: Relating to a Congressional Directive in House Report 112-589, Timely Delivery of Critical Reports. Congress requests the Forest Service to provide the results of the nationwide assessment of the agency's night flying operations (both the helicopter portion and fixed-wing portion) within 90 days of enactment of this Act.
