Hispanic Heritage Month 2021: Engaging Hispanic/Latinx communities [web event], Sept. 29
WASHINGTON, D.C. – National Hispanic Heritage Month, observed from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 of each year, is upon us. This month we honor the contributions, both past and present, of Hispanic/Latinx people for their profound and positive influence on our country.
During National Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate the immeasurable impact Hispanic/Latinx people have made on our nation. For us at the Forest Service, this also means acknowledging, appreciating, honoring and celebrating the proud legacy of Hispanics dedicated to the stewardship of our Madre Tierra –Mother Earth.
Please join us for a virtual event on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021, 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. (EDT), to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and learn about the Forest Service’s exciting partnership with Corazón Latino designed to enhance Hispanic/Latinx communities’ engagement through community engagement, digital strategies, citizen science, health and nature initiatives that foster natural resource stewardship.
