HRM: Updated Information for coronavirus vaccinations and booster vaccinations
Employees can use up to 4 hours of Official Time, Transaction Code 01 (TC-01), to receive Coronavirus vaccinations and Coronavirus booster vaccinations. If the 4 hours are not needed, then an employee should code the necessary time needed.
Employees must work directly with their supervisor to receive approval to use Official Time (TC-01) to receive Coronavirus Vaccinations and Booster Vaccinations.
Additional time may be granted for extenuating circumstances, such as the travel distance/time to and from the vaccination site.
NOTE: Corrected timesheets do not need to be submitted if an employee previously used Administrative Leave (TC-66) to receive the COVID vaccination.
Administrative leave for side effects
Supervisors must grant up to 2 workdays of Administrative Leave (TC-66) if an employee has an adverse reaction to a Coronavirus vaccination or Coronavirus Booster vaccination.
If more than 2 workdays are needed, an employee can request leave using sick leave, annual leave, etc.
Administrative leave to accompany family members
Employees can use up to 4 hours of Administrative Leave (TC-66) to accompany family members to receive a Coronavirus vaccination and/or Coronavirus booster vaccination.
Family members include:
- Spouse, and their parents
- Children (biological, adopted, step and foster children), and their spouses
- Parents, and their spouses
- Brothers and sisters, and their spouses
- Grandparents and grandchildren, and their spouses
- Domestic partner and their parents, including domestic partners of any individual in (2) through (5) of this definition; and
- Any individual related by blood or affinity whose close association with the employee is the equivalent of a family relationship.
What you need to do
Employees must work directly with their supervisor to receive approval to use Official Time (TC-01) and Administrative Leave (TC-66) for Coronavirus vaccinations and Coronavirus booster vaccinations.
When using Administrative Leave (TC-66), please add a note in the remarks section of your timesheet for documentation purposes.
