USFS helps develop new Bangladesh National Forest Inventory

March 11, 2017

Forest Service social scientist Delilah Jaworski, from the TEAMS Enterprise Unit, spent the past week in Bangladesh, providing expertise on the design of a socio-economic survey that will be used to gain community input for the country’s new National Forest Inventory.

Her trip is part of an ongoing collaboration among International Programs, the United Nation’s Food and Agriculture Organization, and the Bangladesh Forest Department. These organizations are working together on the "Strengthening National Forest Inventory and Satellite Land Monitoring System in Support of REDD+ in Bangladesh," a project supported by the U.S Agency for International Development.

Jaworski’s work helps apply Forest Service knowledge globally.
