On March 30, the Office of the Chief recognized Fiscal Year 2016 National Engineers of the Year award recipients in the Washington Office. The award recipients included:

• 2016 National Managerial Engineer: Steve Marchi, Region 6, Umpqua National Forest
• 2016 National Technical Engineer: Stephen Romero, Region 5 Regional Office
• 2016 National Engineering Technician: Christopher Steen, Region 1, Flathead NF
• 2016 National Engineering Technology Applications Person: Cole Mayn, Region 1, Bitterroot NF, and Greg McNamee, Region 4 Regional Office
