Rocky Mountain Region employee Dana Coelho was part of an International Programs technical assistance team delivering a restoration and reforestation workshop in Valledupar, Colombia, last week.

Attendees were there representing the city, nonprofit organizations, universities and indigenous communities. Targeted at building capacity to implement their Urban Forest Management Plan and larger watershed restoration goals, the workshop covered collaboration, planning and project management skills.

Examples of restoration projects from Rocky Mountain and Intermountain Region landscapes and communities provided relatable details for workshop participants.
