RMRS to host two wildfire crisis-focused science sessions
COLORADO—Rocky Mountain Research Station is hosting two upcoming virtual sessions focused on two key topics associated with the Wildfire Crisis Strategy. These sessions will be recorded.
Nov. 1: SMOKE: State of the Science. A panel of six smoke experts from the Forest Service, universities and Environmental Protection Agency will address managers’ smoke-related questions. Register for this session here. More information can be found on the station’s website.
Nov. 9: Prioritizing Landscape Treatments. This session will include presentations from the station’s Fire Modelling Institute, regional fire analysts and a case study from the Southwest Idaho Wildfire Crisis Strategy Landscape.
