Kristin Bail accepted the position of deputy regional forester for the Southwestern Region (R3). Bail currently serves as the Forest Supervisor in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest in the Pacific Northwest Region (R6).
Serra Hoagland accepted the position of tribal research national program leader for Research and Development. Hoagland currently serves as a tribal relations specialist for Rocky Mountain Research Station.
Bunni Maceo accepted the position of deputy regional forester for the Rocky Mountain Region (R2). Maceo currently serves as chief of staff for the Work Environment and Performance Office in the Washington Office.
Elizabeth Matthews accepted the position of forest health monitoring program manager in Forest Health Protection, State, Private and Tribal Forestry in the Washington Office. Matthews is currently the National Capital Region lead for the National Park Service Inventory and Monitoring Division.
Tracy Troutman accepted the position of acting director for the Office of Civil Rights in Washington, D.C., effective March 1. Troutman currently serves as has served as director of the Office of Outreach, Diversity, and Equal Opportunity at USDA’s Agricultural Research Service. She replaces Christian Pagan, who has served as acting director since Feb. 1.
Chad VanOrmer accepted the position of acting regional forester for the Alaska Region (R10) effective March 10. VanOrmer currently serves as deputy regional forester for the Alaska Region. He replaces Janelle Crocker, who has served as acting regional forester since October 2023.
Kimberly Winter accepted the position of director for Conservation Education in State, Private and Tribal Forestry in the Washington Office. Winter currently serves as NatureWatch national program manager on the Biological & Physical Resources Staff in the National Forest System.
