Our national forests and grasslands are precious resources we all use and enjoy. This Fourth of July holiday, let the night skies be your show.

On most national forests and grasslands, fireworks and other explosives are banned because of certain conditions, mostly related to the potential of starting a wildfire.

We also want to remind our visitors to check with the local ranger district of your national forest or grassland for any bans on open flames. If campfires are allowed, please be sure to extinguish the flames and ensure the ashes are cold to the touch before leaving them.

Please remember, you are responsible for your safety and for the safety of those around you.
