Today, the USDA Forest Service’s partner Agents of Discovery releases the Woodsy Owl Earth Day Challenge. For this Mission Monday, Woodsy Owl is partnering with Wonders of Wildlife to celebrate 50 years of Earth Day and Earth Week! The mission includes sections in which the parent can be engaged and join Woodsy Owl on a secret mission to discover how they can take action to protect the earth.

These activities stimulate young minds in practices that help improve the conditions of the environment. You can play the game by downloading the application of Agents of Discovery on your phone or device.

In addition, Woodsy is partnering with our partners at Corazon Latino to develop short videos about the 4 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and “Rot”.  The first video is about Rot, composting.  This 30 second video, in English and Spanish, will showcase how easy it is to create your own composting.  The video will be showcased in Woodsy’s social media platforms on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

And, finally, Woodsy is increasing its offerings at the National Symbols Cache by adding a stainless-steel straw kit. This reusable product can be used by all in the family, and children love it. These kits are available at our ecommerce website: www.symbols.gov

As you see Woodsy never stops!  Happy Earth Day.
