Evergreen Lookout

Overview/Background

This lookout was built in 1935 by the Civilian Conservation Corps as one of six fire lookouts that stood watch over the Skykomish Ranger District. The lookout was operational until the 1987 and stood vacant until King County Explorer Search and Rescue started restoration of the structure in 1990.  The lookout is a labor of love for all the volunteers who worked on the project. Evergreen is available for overnight rental the end of August (conditions permitting) thru October.
