6640.7 - Telecommunications Approval . Exhibit 1 shows approval levels for

facsimile and telephone communication equipment. Submit requests for

technical approvals not included in Exhibit 1 to Management Systems in

the Regional Office.

1. Forest Supervisors may approve facsimile purchases up to $4000 per

administrative unit and up to $25,000 for a consolidated procurement.

2. Office of Information Resource Management (OIRM), General Services

Administration (GSA), Washington Office (WO) and Regional Office (RO)

approval not required if service is installed within a single exchange

area.

3. If via FS radio system, including microwave, WO and RO approval is

required.

4. RO and appropriate GSA Regional Office must approve.
