WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Unsung Hero awards are given to USDA employees who have demonstrated “extraordinary effort in performing tasks, who have unselfishly shared time and expertise and consistently and willingly extended a helping hand.”
It’s not too late to shine a spotlight on your colleagues. Tuesday, March 31, is the deadline for the 2020 Unsung Hero awards. These awards recognize USDA employees who have gone above and beyond in their daily work and have shown exemplary customer service.
USDA will announce our Unsung Heroes during Public Service Recognition Week, which will take place at USDA headquarters on May 3-9.
The Unsung Hero Award program is hosted by the Organization of Professional Employees of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, in partnership with USDA and Departmental Management.
