Dan Svingen, District Ranger, Ft. Pierre National Grasslands, and Susan Johnson, Regional Tribal Relations program manager, participated in the American Indian Higher Education Consortium tribal college student conference.

They led a student workshop and staffed a Forest Service outreach station at the March 18–21 event. The Forest Service provided agency outreach materials and information on the Pathways and Resource Assistance programs. Nearly 100 people stopped by seeking information about the agency. The tribal students were positive about the opportunities to work in natural resources upon graduation from college.
