WASHINGTON, DC—Founded over 10 years ago as a charitable response to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving is the world’s biggest giving day of the year, with an estimated $3 billion+ pledged to help charities fulfill their missions to better our communities, nations and world.

For thousands of CFC charities, this is the most important time of the year, and Giving Tuesday is the day where they receive the largest influx of donations! CFC charities rely on generous donations made this week to, in some cases, fund the entire upcoming year’s worth of services they provide to beneficiaries. Your gifts make it possible for them to budget and determine the scope of their upcoming and ongoing programs.

Giving through the CFC is easier than ever:

  1. Choose your cause. Whether you care about finding cures for diseases, protecting the environment, or promoting equality for all, CFC has vetted charities for any cause you want to support. You can even give to multiple charities with one pledge.
  2. Make your pledge. Use the online giving system, the CFC Mobile Giving App or a paper pledge form. When giving online you can give through:
    • Payroll deduction—minimum donation is $1 per pay period ($26 annually)
    • Credit/debit card—minimum donation is a $10 per transaction
    • E-check/bank transfer
    • Donate volunteer hours—One hour minimum

Your contributions really do make a difference, and this year, it is more important than ever to Give Together on Giving Tuesday. Thanks to your generosity, CFC charities will make a difference in our local communities, across the nation and around the world!
