With the recent and still current impact Hurricane Harvey has had on so many, now is a good time to refresh ourselves about what it takes to be prepared when a disaster strikes. Your family may not be together, so it is important to know which types of disasters could affect your area. Know how you will contact one another and reconnect if separated. Establish a family meeting place that’s familiar and easy to find and know how you will manage until you are able to reconnect.
