Sept. 20 Teams event: Employee Resource Groups—Creating positive changes in the workplace
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Diversity is one of our values here at the Forest Service, and one we take a lot of pride in. Having a diverse agency requires providing the correct mix of opportunities for it to grow and thrive. One of the ways we aim to do that is through our recently re-established Employee Resource Groups.
ERGs are a formal effort of the agency, led by the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Branch, to provide a greater voice for our employees. Comprised of representatives from all levels of the agency, these groups showcase one of our greatest strengths: our employees' diverse thoughts, experiences and perspectives.
Please join us for a virtual event on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern. Learn about ERGs and find out more about the different groups within the Forest Service.
“ERGs help meet the administration’s strategic goals and Executive Order 13985, but the true reasons we have been able to develop and sustain these groups are the hard-working employees who created them. I applaud the efforts of the diversity, equity and inclusion branch to represent and advocate for our diverse employees.” – Chief Randy Moore
