Budget Myth vs. Fact: Radio specialist salaries
We are providing information about the implementation of our new agency budget structure through myth-busting and sharing facts that help us all learn together.
Myth #5: Land mobile radio specialists should not charge salary to the incident’s suppression, or WFSU, “p-code” when on fire assignment.
Fact #5: Land mobile radio specialists, like many other employees, are agency personnel who may have collateral incident support duties. When on a resource order for a fire assignment, these personnel (non-Wildland Fire Salary and Expenses funded employees) will charge directly to WFSU for suppression salary, overtime and travel.
