The U. S. Department of Agriculture has issued updated coronavirus (COVID-19) guidance that includes maximizing telework through April 3, 2020, for telework-eligible employees. Beginning Tuesday, March 17, telework is authorized for the National Capital Region, Washington State, California Bay area, New York City and other areas experiencing documented community spread. For all other areas, telework is authorized beginning Thursday, March 19. For details on the updated guidance, please see the attached email from Deputy Secretary Stephen Censky.
While teleworking, take appropriate steps to protect Forest Service information and systems through cybersecurity and Personally Identifiable Information smart practices.
