As a reminder, HRM’s deadline to receive 2019 annual leave restoration requests is April 1, 2020. Requests received after this date will only be considered under extremely unique circumstances.
On October 9, 2019, the Deputy Chief for Business Operations disseminated the Year End Scheduling of Use or Lose Annual Leave and Restoration of Annual Leave Reminder letter to all Forest Service employees. The letter provides instructions on the scheduling and use of annual leave, as well as guidance for submission of leave restoration applications.
Employees who had annual leave restored for 2018 as a result of the government shutdown in 2019, will have until the end of pay period 26, 2021 to use the restored leave. If it is not used by this deadline, it will be forfeited.
