USDA Secretary Vilsack has authorized a two-hour early departure from work today, Friday, October 8 in celebration of International Day of Girls, National Coming Out Day, Indigenous People’s Day, and Columbus Day.
Supervisors should work with their employees, who are unable to participate in the early departure today due to mission critical needs, to identify another day by Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021 to participate in the two-hour early departure.

What you need to do
Supervisor approval is required to participate in the two-hour early departure.

Employees will code their timesheet using Other Leave, “Transaction Code (TC) 66” for the early departure and please note it in the remarks section.
Employees who are not able to be released early from work today due to mission critical needs, will code their timesheet as normal using Official Time (TC-01).
