WASHINGTON, DC—In August 2023, President Biden established the Baaj Nwaavjo I’tah Kukveni—Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument in northern Arizona, an event the Forest Service supported.

The Forest Service celebrated three years of Great American Outdoors Act projects, continued to highlight firefighters' ability to afford the fight, selected Kelly S. Miller's photo as the employee photo contest winner, sent firefighting support to Canada and celebrated Smokey Bear's 79th birthday. Learn more in the video below.
