Celebrating National Library Week

April 6, 2022

Forest Service insignia.

COLORADO—This week, we celebrate National Library Week , when we acknowledge the contributions of libraries and library workers to our communities. The Forest Service is home to the National Forest Service Library, as well as branch libraries at the Forest Products Laboratory and the International Institute of Tropical Forestry.

These libraries provide access to a treasure trove of information. Library services available to Forest Service employees include electronic journals, databases, literature searches, interlibrary loan and an archive of historic Forest Service literature. The National Forest Service Library provides access to over 7,000 journals and over 20 research databases in partnership with the National Agricultural Library and other USDA agencies.

Check out what your library has to offer! National Library Week runs through April 9.
