WASHINGTON, DC—Take Our Kids to Work Day is an educational program where, traditionally, parents are encouraged to bring their children to the physical workplace. This year's event will be held via Zoom April 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. EDT. The annual event creates opportunities for children to explore the workforce and a diverse mix of future career opportunities. By introducing children to careers at USDA, we can help cultivate their public service motivation and inspire our next generation of leaders in agriculture and society.

This year’s virtual program will provide interactive learning activities on ways to protect our national resources and the environment, how to develop healthy eating habits and methods for growing your own food. Participating virtually means youth will explore our agency work from a safe and familiar environment.

We will showcase many of the valuable programs and services USDA provides to our stakeholders and the public we serve.

If you need a reasonable accommodation or additional information about this event, please contact Lisa M. Mason at lisam.mason@usda.gov.

This event is being organized by the Office of the Secretary, the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, and the Farm Service Agency.
