USDA Christmas tree lighting ceremony [VIDEO]

November 30, 2022

WASHINGTON, DC—On Nov. 29, USDA celebrated the completion of the Capitol Christmas tree journey and the beginning of the holiday season by lighting the Christmas tree in its headquarters at the Whitten Building. Chief Moore, Deputy Secretary Bronaugh, Under Secretary Wilkes and this year's youth tree lighter, Catcuce Micco Tiger, led the event.

As Chief Moore noted, the Capitol Christmas tree and its 25-foot sister tree at USDA are symbols of the work employees do throughout the year. The tree is brought to USDA to "specifically represent USDA employees. It's a symbol of the hard work that you all did to deliver on our mission on every single day."
