WASHINGTON, DC—There can be only one. Help choose the national grand prize winner in the 2023 Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl poster contest.

Make a child’s day by casting your vote now through April 27.

Use the following criteria for selecting your favorite poster:

• Woodsy Owl posters must include Woodsy's conservation message: "Lend a Hand, Care for the Land!"
• Smokey Bear posters must include Smokey's prevention message: "Only You Can Prevent Wildfires."
• Posters should encourage children to participate in conserving natural resources or preventing wildfires.
• Poster has a bold and simple design.
• Message is easily understood and is delivered both in the picture and in the text.
• Posters will be judged for originality, design, slogan, artwork and overall message effectiveness.
