NEW MEXICO—On Jan. 31, Chief Vicki Christiansen welcomed employees back to work at the Albuquerque Service Center after an unprecedented government shutdown. Chief Christiansen spent the day engaging with employees to learn more about what the shutdown meant to them. These lessons learned will help us continue to resume, recover and reset.
Chief Christiansen recognized that the shutdown was felt by employees in many ways. She also stressed her gratitude for the support ASC provides and continued to provide during the government shutdown. On behalf of the agency she thanked ASC employees for their valiant effort of processing over 50,000 timesheets to ensure all employees were paid as soon as possible.
As we continue to resume, recover and reset, we can all learn from the themes of these discussions—working together and being kind to one another.
