November 2, 2022

WASHINGTON, DC—On Oct. 24, the Forest Service held its inaugural promotion ceremony for Senior Executive Service members. The ceremony recognizes the honor and responsibility bestowed on those new appointments to the service. Those selected will hold significant national responsibility within the agency as they help shepherd the organization in stewarding the nation’s forests.

The Senior Executive Service was established in 1978 as a part of the Civil Service Reform Act and represents the pinnacle of an individual’s government career.  The stated mission of the SES is to "ensure that the executive management of the Government of the United States is responsive to the needs, policies, and goals of the nation and otherwise is of the highest quality."

Please join us in recognizing these individuals for their significant achievements.
