Pisgah National Forest LEO wins Best Patrol Vehicle at local event

NORTH CAROLINA – USDA Forest Service Law Enforcement Officer Wade Keener received the award for Best Patrol Vehicle in Marion, North Carolina's 15th annual National Night Out hosted by the Marion Police Department on August 7. Wade covers the Grandfather Ranger District of the Pisgah National Forest.

The free annual event attracted hundreds of local residents for an evening of fun interactions with law enforcement and emergency agencies including other local police departments, county sheriffs and officers from the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission and National Park Service's Blue Ridge Parkway.

This was the 35th anniversary of the National Night Out celebrated nationwide to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.
