Land & Resources Management

All management actions at Nebraska National Forests & Grasslands are guided and directed by the current Forest Land and Resource Management Plan. In order to accomplish our agency mission, our resource specialists identify projects that will help move the forest closer to the desired future conditions, identified in the Forest Plan. A necessary part of the planning for these projects is the environmental analysis and documentation, as required by the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and agency direction.

Forest Planning

Nebraska National Forests and Grasslands planning documents guide all management actions. Plans are focused at a broad scale: regional, forest-wide, or landscape (watershed) level.
