  • Travel Management Planning on the Little Missouri National Grassland

The Little Missouri National Grassland Travel Management project is a collaborative process that emphasizes coordination with state, local, and tribal governments and includes public involvement to designate motorized use on National Forest System Roads, trails, and areas by type of motor vehicle and time of year.

We are currently in the project's early engagement, or pre-National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) stage. Early engagement open houses were conducted in September 2024 and the early engagement comment period ended on October 15, 2024. More open houses and opportunities to comment on the project will begin when we enter the NEPA process, early 2025.
