Every Kid Outdoors Pass
The Every Kid Outdoors Pass is Free and available to U.S. 4th graders (including home-schooled and free-choice learners 10 years of age). Honored nationwide it allows 4th graders and their families to experience our natural and historic heritage held in National Forests, Grasslands, Parks, Monuments, Wildlife Refuges, historic sites and others, for free.

Moving out of COVID, the Recreation, Partnership and Volunteer Program is focused on increasing resources and capacity to perform work at recreation sites and trails, cultivating and developing our existing partnerships, and improving access for under-represented groups to the resources that we manage.
Firewood Permits Available April - December
Personal-use firewood permits are available from April 1 to December 31 (Weather Permitting) on the Fremont-Winema National Forest.
Mushroom Permit Information
Matsutake mushroom season is September 7 through November 7 this year on the Deschutes, Fremont-Winema, Umpqua and Willamette National Forests. Find more information about required permits, rules and regulations for harvesting mushrooms.
