    The Hoosier National Forest is working towards a strategy of providing digital resources first for you to plan and guide your trip. While digital maps are convenient, electronic devices like cell phones are not always reliable during backcountry travel. Be aware that some areas of the Forest may not have cellular service and that the batteries of electronic devices drain faster in temperature extremes.
