Schedule of 140th Commemorative Events

This year marks the 140th year since the war and flight of the Nez Perce.  The following is a list of events, exhibits, and presentations happening this year along the Trail.

New Poster Now Available:

A poster entitled “Remembering the 1877 War and Flight” which commemorates 140 years since the events of the summer of 1877 is now available at a number of locations along NPNHT.

NPNHT 30th Infographic

On October 6, 2016, the Nez Perce (Nee-Me-Poo) National Historic Trail (NPNHT) entered our 30th year as a National Historic Trail. 

Updated Nez Perce National Historic Trail Map Now Available

An updated map of the Nez Perce (Nee-Me-Poo) National Historic Trail (NPNHT) is now available for sale.

Nez Perce 2016 Postcards

These postcards feature several historical figures whose lives were impacted by the events of 1877.

Trail Ethics and Safety

This land is an important source of spiritual strength for all races of people including the Nez Perce. Its natural and historic sites should be left undisturbed by all who visit.

Coloring and Activity Book Available

Along the Nez Perce Trail - A Coloring and Activity Book is now available for sale.  It provides information about wildlife and the landscape along the NPNHT.

A Landscape of History Video

This beautifully produced video takes you on the 1,170-mile journey taken by the Nez Perce tribe in 1877. It highlights the need to preserve and interpret this landscape of history. 20 min.
