The new recreation fees that were proposed in 2018 will become effective in 2019. 

Map Price Increase for Printed Maps

For the first time in nearly a decade, increasing costs of production, printing, and distribution are driving the need for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s U.S. Forest Service to increase the price of its maps. Prices of USFS paper and plastic coated maps will increase to $14 on Monday, Jan. 1, 2018.

Campground Fees Waived on Southern Region National Forests

The Southern Region of the USDA Forest Service is immediately waiving fees and making all campgrounds available for individuals displaced by the recent flooding in Texas and other states.

Ouachita National Forest Turned 110 Years Old

The Ouachita National Forest turned 110 years old on December 18, 2017. 
Over these years, the 1.8 million acres Ouachita National Forest has managed the forest for a number of multiple uses, including timber, wilderness, recreation, minerals, water and wildlife in Arkansas and Oklahoma.

Recreation Fee Changes proposal
