    The Salmon-Challis National Forest has one of the largest rangeland management programs in the Intermountain West, administering grazing permits for more than 100 livestock grazing permittees.   • Engineering Program

    The engineering department of the Salmon-Challis National Forest prepares and administers construction contracts for the following types of projects:  road construction,  reconstruction, and maintenance; magnesium chloride application; recreation sites; campground construction and reconstruction; well drilling; water systems; bridges; vault toilets; trail construction, reconstruction, and maintenance; and facilities construction and maintenance.
