Solicitation and Contract Types

In general, all projects are issued in one of three solicitation formats :  Request for Quotes, Request for Proposals, and Invitation for Bids.

 

1)  Request for Quotes (RFQ)

Request For Quotations is an informal competitive process used in procurements under $100,000.00.

 

2)  Request for Proposals (RFP)

Request for Proposals is a negotiated process used in procurements estimated over $100,000.00.

 

3)  Invitation for Bids (IFB)

Invitation for Bids is a formal sealed bid process used for procurements over $100,000.00.
