Recreation Passes & Permits
You may obtain a variety of Interagency Passes which allow for discounted recreational use of certain Federal lands and facilities.
Where to purchase:
Interagency passes can be purchased at the Chugach National Forest offices in Anchorage, Girdwood, Seward, or Cordova, or at the Begich, Boggs Visitor Center, or online.
These passes are honored nationwide at all Forest Service, National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, and US Fish & Wildlife Service sites charging entrance or standard amenity fees.
Interagency Senior and Interagency Access Pass
These passes allow the holder to receive a 50% discount on some expanded amenity fees like campgrounds (this does not include hookups for water/sewer/electricity), highly developed boat launches and swimming sites, and for specialized interpretive services.
The Interagency Senior Pass is $80 for a lifetime pass or $20 for an annual pass, and is available to persons over 62 years of age. The Interagency Access Pass is free to US citizens with a permanent disability. You must show proof of disability.
