Land Management Planning

Each National Forest has a Land and Resource Management Plan. This document, usually referred to as the Forest Plan, describes how the forest will be managed for the 10-15 year period after it is adopted. The Forest Plan for the Eldorado National Forest was adopted in 1989.

National Forest and Resource Management Planning is performed in compliance with a number of legal mandates.
