Working Together

A forest visitor gets information and a smile from the friendly folks that serve at the front desk. The importance of working together to manage all the natural resources grows every year. Partnerships and volunteers increase the Modoc National Forest’s stewardship capacity by connecting people within communities and meeting natural resource goals.

Today, collaboration has become essential to fulfilling the Forest Service mission of “Caring for the land and serving people”. Communities, landowners, corporations, non-profit organizations, and citizens are critical components. They help develop long-range management plans and implement conservation and stewardship projects.

Working with other federal, state, and local agencies, user groups, and organizations that want to be involved in public land management is critical to provide the setting and products available on the Forest. This section provides opportunities and means to work together!
