Remote Sensing Techniques for Rapid Assessment of Forest Damage Caused by Catastrophic Climatic Events

Catastrophic climatic events such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and ice storms can cause billions of dollars in damage to infrastructure and personal property, loss of lives, and damage to natural resources. Forests are especially susceptible to these events. The following is a list of recent climatic events in North America that have had devastating effects on forest resources.
