Maple sugaring blends heritage and community. This quiet scene at Moharimet Elementary School early in New Hampshire's sugaring season won't be quiet much longer. Students will be in the woods learning math and science from the trees their classes have tapped, and the boiling of the sap they collect brings the community together later for a breakfast of pancakes drenched in homemade maple syrup.
