Introduction
HOW TO USE THIS SITE:
This web site was created to emulate a database containing
multiple Forest Service research projects and their available* databases.
All the information contained within this text-based site was derived
from the General Technical Report NE-224.
(Published: October 1996)
Lookup by Themes
lists research projects (catalogs) by themes including their
objectives and links.
Lookup by Contact
allows the users to scroll through an alphabetized listing
of researchers who are the contacts for project related data.
Index of Databases
enables the user to view the titles of all the catalogs.
* Check with individual catalogs for terms
on data availability.
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS:
The development of this catalog and its electronic database
was supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service,
Northern Station Global Change Research Program. Rich Birdsey and
Kurt Gottschalk initiated the objectives and continually encouraged
and supported the project. The following individuals assisted with
the research histories of the studies.

This publication/database reports research involving pesticides.
It does not contain recommendations for their use, nor does it imply
that the uses discussed here have been registered. All uses of pesticides
must be registered by appropriate State and/or Federal, agencies
before they can be recommended.
Pesticides can be injurious to humans, domestic animals, desirable
plants, and fish or other wildlife -- if they are not handled or
applied properly. Use all pesticides selectively and carefully.
Follow recommended practices for the disposal of surplus pesticides
and pesticide containers.
