  • Monthly Speaker Series

    The Carson National Forest is hosting a monthly speaker series that will run through October 2018. Each month the speaker series will focus on a topic that relates to the Carson National Forest. Speaker Series events will take place on the 2nd Thursday of each month . at the Carson National Forest Supervisor’s Office at 208 Cruz Alta Road in Taos. This is a free public event with seating limited to a first come-first serve basis.

    July 12,  5:30 - 7:00 PM

    An evening presentation by Franciso Cortez, program manager for the Wildlife, Fish, Rare Plants Program on the Carson National Forest. Francisco will be presenting an in-depth look at a the biologist’s role in the WFRP program and will discuss how animals and plant habitats are managed while providing for opportunities for hunting, fishing, and other recreation opportunities.
