  • Open House for Career Exploring Program

    A new Forest Service Career Exploring program is being created to introduce young men and women age 14-20 to careers in land management and the outdoors. The participants will meet regularly, at least once a month, throughout the year on a weeknight (in Hood River), and also have weekend field trips to more difficult to get to destinations. The program is free.

    The program will employ hands-on activities and skill building as well as interacting with career professionals in a wide array of land management fields. Participants do not have to live in the Gorge, but the group will meet-up in Hood River.
