  • 2019 Bioblitz

    Spend a day in the sunshine and help us search for the Western Bumble Bee and other species of interest.  Walking distances can be adjusted to your preference.

    When: Aug. 27, 28, 29, and 30, 2019.  9 a.m. - 11 a.m.

    Where: McKenzie River Ranger District -- we will travel to nearby meadows and other open areas on the district.

    You will need to sign a volunteer form and wear long pants, long sleeves, sturdy hiking boots, and bring water, sunscreen, sunhat, insect repellent, and your lunch. The Forest Service will provide insect nets and containers, as well as ID guides.

    Kids are welcome but minors must have parents with them.
