Doe-819, Wounded Buck-36, Wildcat, Upper Lid, Ball-2061, Mid-9,296
Weather Conditions: Temperatures Monday remained hot with
relative humidity in the teens. The inversion lifted earlier than previous
days. Weather
pattern is expected to continue.
Fire Behavior: With the early dissipation
of the inversion active fire was observed in several divisions on the
fire however, there were no significant
runs.
Agency Jurisdiction: U. S. Forest Service, Flathead National Forest
Cooperating Agencies: BLM, BIA, FS, FWS, NPS, State of Montana, Flathead County
Estimated Containment: 5 percent Estimated Containment Date: September 30, 2003
Incident Commander: H. Mortier/P. O’Bannon
Equipment and Personnel: 48 hand crews, 1 helicopter, 23
engines, 5 water tenders, 5 pieces of heavy equipment (includes dozers and
feller bunchers),
1 boat, 173 overhead personnel. Several helicopters were shared with the
Robert incident.
Total Number of Personnel: 1,210
Threats: Powerlines and communication facilities, two recreation areas, residences in Hungry Horse and Martin City. Coram Experimental Forest and Research Natural Area. Recreational cabins on Spotted Bear Ranger District.

Injuries this period: 2 Injuries to Date: 16
Cost to date: $3,814,164
Special Information: Change in acreage on the Ball fire from yesterday is due to more accurate mapping after Sundays run.
