The Landscape Uses and Values Team conducts research to increase the understanding of how people and organizations perceive, manage, and benefit from landscapes and their biophysical characteristics. We draw on environmental and natural resource economics and interdisciplinary collaborations to address natural resource and management issues through applied research conducted at a variety of spatial and temporal scales.
U.S. Forest Service
Our research often involves collaborative partnerships with universities and federal, state, local government, and nonprofit entities. Our research informs policymakers and land managers addressing natural resource issues involving relationships between people and ecosystems.
